Andhra Pradesh Common Law Entrance Test (APLAWCET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)

What Is AP LAWCET?
Candidates should be aware about what AP LAWCET is before applying for the exam. To score well in the examination, candidates should know the basics of the AP LAWCET. Firstly, candidates should know that the exam will be conducted on 9th June 2024. Secondly, the exam will not be conducted in offline mode. It will be conducted online in computer-based mode at the allotted AP LAWCET test centres 2024. AP LAWCET is generally conducted from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
The AP LAWCET question paper is based on 120 objective-type questions from three sections – GK and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the study of Law. Candidates will get 90 minutes to attempt all the questions and finish the paper.
The test language is English and Telugu for both five-year LLB and three-year LLB courses.

AP LAWCET Important Dates
AP LAWCET notification was released on 22nd March 2024. Candidate should read the notification carefully and follow the deadlines and dates diligently.
The hall tickets can be downloaded from June 3, 2024, onwards, and the AP LAWCET 2024 examination will be conducted on June 9, 2024. The provisional answer key will release on June 10 and the objection window will open on June 11, 2024. The last date to raise objections is till June 12, 2024.

AP LAWCET 2024 Application Process
Candidates who want to appear for AP LAWCET should go through the below mention application process very carefully to avoid any confusion which will lead to rejection.
AP LAWCET 2024 notification mentions that the last date to apply is till 25th April and the correction window will open on May 30 and will close on June 1, 2024.

AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria
The first and foremost criteria for appearing AP LAWCET 2024 is that a candidate should be Indian citizens. Only after meeting this criteria a candidate should move ahead.
The following are the requirements for qualifying to take the AP LAWCET 2024 exam:
3 year LLB Course: Candidates must have graduated (10+2+ 3) in any discipline from a recognized university. General and OC candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks. Candidates belonging to the Backward Class must have secured a minimum 42% of aggregate marks, SC/ST candidates must have scored a minimum 40% of aggregate marks.
5 year LLB Course: Candidates must have passed Class 12th intermediate from any recognized board. General and OC candidates must have scored a minimum 45% marks. Candidates belonging to the Backward Class must have scored a minimum 42% of aggregate marks, SC/ST candidates must have scored a minimum of 40% marks
No specific age limit will apply to admissions applications.
AP LAWCET 2024 Exam Pattern
To score well in any exam, candidates need to know the exam pattern thoroughly. Only after knowing the exam and types of questions asked a candidate can score well. AP LAWCET is designed to evaluate the candidate’s General Knowledge, Mental ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120, 1 mark for each question and the duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120.
Exam Pattern
Part A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability.
Part B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs
Part C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law, elementary knowledge of the basic principles of the Law and Constitution of India on the part of the student is assumed.
For 5 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Intermediate level / 10 + 2 and For 3 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Degree Level.
AP LAWCET Qualifying Marks
The Questions will be objective type including multiple choices questions, matching items. Each question contains four alternative answers and candidates have to pick up the correct Answer from among the choices given.
Qualifying marks in AP LAWCET-2024: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.Ts for ranking
