NLU Prayagraj was established by the Uttar Pradesh National Law University Act, 2020. The act established Uttar Pradesh National Law University, Prayagraj (NLU Prayagraj), in 2020. It was renamed as Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University by the amendment in August 2023

Admissions Process of NLU Prayagraj
The admission to this university will be entirely be based on the scores obtained in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), 2024. The CLAT-2024 was recently held on 3rd of December
Also, In addition to appearing in CLAT-2024, candidate should also apply on the official portal of admission on the university website

Eligibility of NLU Prayagraj
To qualify for admission, the candidate: Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an examination equivalent thereof, securing in aggregate not less than 45% (40% in case of SC/ST candidates of U. P.) of the total marks.
The Candidates, who have appeared in the qualifying examination and are awaiting for their results, may also write the Admission Test but their admission shall be subject to the fulfilment of the above requirement at the time of admission.

Important Points for NLU Prayagraj
1. Registration only through online mode will be accepted. The candidate to register online in the admission portal available at the University website
2. Your online application process will be accepted as completed only after submission of the application fee
3. If a candidate has applied for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Programme but doesn’t fulfill the eligibility criteria his/her candidature will not be considered.
4. A candidate whose documents are found to be invalid owing to willful forgery/ act of cheating will be debarred from admission.
Points to Remember
The candidates should fill up the Personal details carefully. The details entered by the candidate should match with the attached certificates and documents. Mismatches/ discrepancies may lead to the rejection of the application at any stage.
Details such as Name, Gender, Mobile number etc cannot be changed once the form is submitted
Candidates must enter the marks of all the subjects in which s(he) has passed Class X and XII.
The candidates should carefully upload the document whwerever asked in the registration form
The Uploads must be same as the mentioned file type and size on the portal.
The candidate will be able to preview the application form only after the successful uploading of the mandatory documents. The candidate will have the option of editing/ making changes, if required, at this stage.
Thereafter, candidates can not make any change in the form. The candidate must carefully read every detail entered by him/her before proceeding to the next section of the fee submission.
Once the application form has been filled and the documents are uploaded, the candidate must submit the form by paying the fee. A candidate will become eligible to participate further only after the successful realization of the fees within the stipulated time.
