What is PM GatiShakti?

Launched in October 2021, PM GatiShakti is a ₹100 lakh crore national master plan designed to enhance multi-modal connectivity, reduce logistic costs, and improve India’s global competitiveness. The plan leverages digital tools and GIS-based platforms to ensure integrated infrastructure planning across ministries and departments.

Key Features of PM GatiShakti:

  • Digital Master Planning Tool: Developed by BISAG-N, the platform uses Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to map data from various ministries.
  • Integrated Approach: Brings together 16 central ministries and departments for coordinated project implementation.
  • Focus on Speed and Efficiency: Enhances the pace (Gati) and strength (Shakti) of projects by enabling real-time monitoring and cross-sector collaboration.
