CLAT 2021 Application form filling guidelines

Stepwise process to fill application form of CLAT 2021:
1. Online Registration
2. Filling of application form
3. Uploading of documents
4. Payment of application fee

Step 1: Registration
To start the registration process, the candidate needs to click on the application link (which will be updated on this page once it is available). The candidate next has to follow the below steps:
(1) Click on the “New Registration” option
(2) This will take the candidate to a registration form
(3) The form will have various fields like name of the applicant, mobile number and email id. The candidate will also have to enter and confirm password.
(4) After entering above details, click on the “Register” button
(5) On successful registration, new candidate account would be created and OTP will be sent to registered mobile number for account activation. Activate the account using the OTP.

Step 2: Filling of application form
The candidate has to next login into the candidate account to access the CLAT 2021 application using registered mobile number and password. The application form will have various sections like personal, address and educational details that must be properly filled in; check the bullets below to learn more.
-> Personal details – In this section, one must enter one’s name, date of birth, parent’s name, nationality, category under which admission is sought, and gender. If the candidate wishes to use the services of a scribe, the request also must be made on this page.
-> Address of correspondence – Enter address for correspondence, name of the state and district, and pin.
-> Permanent address –Details like permanent address, name of the state and district, mobile number, and email id must be filled in this section.
-> Select course applied for admission – Choose from the two options – Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG).
-> Educational qualification –In this section, one must enter name of qualifying exam passed, board, exam status, month and year of passing, percentage of marks obtained in qualifying exam, etc.
-> Preview – Before submitting the application form of CLAT 2021, the candidate can preview entered details.
-> Filling of choices (NLUs) – The candidate must select their preference of NLUs from the list that will be displayed on screen.

Step 3: Uploading of documents
In this step photograph, signature and state of domicile certificate must be uploaded in the prescribed specification; refer the table below.

Step 4: Payment of application fee
The candidate has to next pay the application fee of Rs. 4000 (not including transaction charges) via online mode. Payments options available include – net banking, credit and debit cards. The application fee for SC/ST category is Rs. 3500 only.

CLAT admit card 2021:
Candidates who successfully fill the application form will be issued CLAT 2021 admit cards tentatively in the 2nd week of May. An important document for appearing in the national-level law exam, the CLAT admit card will carry important details like the name of the candidate, roll number, date and time of the exam, and exam Centre details. CLAT 2021 will be an offline exam which will be conducted in offline mode around the 4th week of May
